Lay seme ti Xel, Welcome to my senior project. My name is Rory Sweeting, and I am a senior at the Academy at Charlemont. If you’re reading this, there’s a 75% chance that you already knew that. This is my senior project, the culmination of my (not very long) career at the Academy. For my project, I made a constructed language, or conlang for short, an entire language invented completely from scratch, called Kithnen. This involved inventing over a dozen ways of inflecting a single noun, more than a hundred different verb endings, and 200 or so words. But I'm getting ahead of myself. In this essay, you’ll find out about the trials and tribulations that went into creating the product you may or may not have been viewing for the past several minutes, the various people who influenced me, and how I coped with a completely unforeseen conundrum.
