Fun behind-the-scenes fact: As appropriate for an artificial language created in 2019 for a small socially progressive private school, Kithnen is remarkably inclusive of non-binary, non-cisgender gender identities. While most non-Western cultures are more inclusive of non-'traditional' gender roles, few if any actually have unique pronouns for people who aren't cisgender men or women. However, for a few words, I stuck with the orthodoxy of most traditional Western languages, extending the words for 'man' and 'boy' to include all humans and children respectively, without a non-binary or unspecified gender.
